Using PROMETHEE Method in Prioritizing of Plant Species Planting to Reclamation of Sungun Copper Mine

Abstract

Degradation of lands resulting from mining has side effects on environment of region, and reclamation operations is considered as an integral part of extraction operations. The most important methods of mined land reuse include agriculture, pasture, forestry, promenade, sports fields, filling, lake and construction. Selection of plant species and its planting in order to preserve the environment and reclamation the mine are one of the most important solutions. In a case study conducted out in the Sungun Copper Mine, species appropriate to initial factors of the reclamation plan were selected including type of land reuse extracted, the climatic conditions, and the nature of the soil. Then, the secondary factors (criteria) were determined, and the decision matrices were obtained based on the questionnaires completed by the experts, and the plant species, which were based on the landscape criteria of the region were prioritized using multi-criteria decision-making method including resistance against disease and insects, growth power and pattern, access to plant species, economic efficiency, soil protection, water storage, and prevention of different types of contamination. It’s noteworthy that weights of criteria were compared using fuzzy hierarchical analysis method and general prioritizing of the options, PROMETHEE methods and similarity to the ideal fuzzy option. The most appropriate plant species in the mining area by using the PROMETHEE method were obtained (Acer monspesulanum) (4.34), Fraxinus excelsior (2.85), Berberis vulgaris (-1.21), Paliurus spina -Christi (-1.33), Quercus macranthera (-1.47) and Prunus divaricate ledeb (-3.18), respectively. After planting these species, accepted results were obtained at the implementation site.

Abstract

The purpose of present research is Studying Role of Abbaran Cooperative for Executing Irrigation Networks of East Azerbaijan from Viewpoint of Farmers. The present research from viewpoint of goal is regarded as applied research and from view point of data collection method is regarded as causative-communication research and the dependent variable is role of Abbaran cooperative for executing irrigation network. Independent variables are including: economic factors, managerial factors, educational factors, limitations and impediments. Statistical society of this research is farmers’ member at Abbaran cooperative of east Azerbaijan province. The statistical society consists of 860 members of this cooperative. Volume sample based on Cochran’s test is determined as 265 persons and the sampling method is simple random with suitable proportion. In order to assess the validity and reliability of research tool, it is benefit from Cronbach’s alpha and the level of coefficient of Cronbach’s alpha in this research is 0.89 that shows high level of dependability and validity of designed questions. Results showed that low level of information of people from Abbaran cooperative and low level of preference of farmers for partnership at irrigation network with score of 25.03 and 28.13 are regarded as most important factors.

Abstract

Water-based drilling fluid is more important than gas-based and oil-based drilling fluids for adaptability with environment and easy working with it. A water-based drilling fluid can have a significant role in drilling operations with its desirable properties including rheology, fluid loss, coefficient of friction (CF), pH, and fluid weight. This research studied the effect of nanoparticle graphite effect on improving the properties of water-based drilling fluid in various experiments by rotary viscometers, standard filter press, lubricity meter, pH-meter, and mud balance. In addition, fluid loss control additives were used as a control to compare the obtained results from application of nanoparticles and understanding the effect of their presence in experiments. Results showed that graphite nanoparticles can increase yield point (YP) in mud (increased from 10 lb/100ft² to 12 lb/100ft²). Research results showed that graphite nanoparticles can reduce drilling fluid loss in 100psi and T=75°F about 22% (from 4.5cc to 3.5cc during 30 min). Moreover, research results showed that graphite nanoparticles can reduce friction coefficient to 58%.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the complex 3-year field experiment on the reaction of soybean varieties to the sowing method and the seeding rate in the dry steppe zone of the North Kazakhstan. The maximum Tanais Soybean yield per hectare is 9.8 centners per ha on average at the wide-row sowing (60 cm) and a seeding rate of 400 thousand tons per ha. The highest performance index (protein and fat output per hectare) was recorded for the Lanceolate Leaflet Soybean with the 45-60 cm row spacing at the sowing rate of 300 thousand tons per hectare – 9.7 centners per ha. The protein and oil output per unit was recorded to be higher for both varieties at wide-row sowing.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to find a solution to reduce water consumption to produce sugar in sugar beet industry. In this industry, the water used to transfer beet from silos to a processing area, that has a significant volume, is recycled again. But the water used in the final washing stage is provided from a clean water source. At this stage, there is no need for a high volume of water, and it can be increased by increasing the contact surface of the water and its pressure, maintaining water consumption or improving the quality of washing. In this research, the final conditions for final cleaning of beet at the factory were simulated by pilot design, and the use of mixed air jet instead of water was investigated. To achieve this, reducing water consumption using jet mixing water while maintaining the efficiency of the washing was realized. In this way, by comparing the different weather conditions and the quality of beet washing at each stage, the optimal combination of weather and air was mixed in the jet. Then, in order to obtain optimal washing time, with flux and optimal pressure of the air mixture, washing was performed with different periods of time, and the optimal time, which was actually the minimum possible time with the maximum washing efficiency, was obtained.

Abstract

This experiment was carried out on the basis of split-split-plot design in completely randomized block design with three replicates in north of Khuzestan in 2015-2016. Irrigation treatments (irrigation after 70, 90 and 120 mm evaporation from evaporation pan) as main-plot, planting date (1 and 20 July and 9 august) as sub-plot and hybrids in three levels (704, Karoon 701, and AS71) as sub-sub-plot were carried out. Results of variance analysis showed that the effect of heat stress and hybrid on the number of seed row and seed number per row and weight of thousand seeds was significant. The impact of heat stress on performance of seed was significant. Also, the effect of heat stress and hybrid and their interaction on plant height was significant. The effect of heat stress on grain yield was significant but the impact of drought stress and hybrid and interaction of drought stress and hybrid on the amount of chlorophyll a and b and chlorophyll ab was significant. The effect of heat stress, drought stress, hybrid and interaction of drought stress and hybrid on the amount of proline was significant.

Abstract

For decades, building construction has been seen largely as a way of living apart from the environment and dominant nature. This has turned out to be a pyrrhic supremacy and the current ecological crisis has motivated many professional and academics to re-evaluate the fundamental premises of the buildings are designed and produced. In this research, at first, some of the biomimetic and eco-tech architectural prototypes were chosen and analyzed. Secondly, some of the vernacular and traditional architectural examples were selected and analyzed based on their relationship with nature and environment. Finally, these two groups were compared and their similarities and differences studied. In the final step, some of the best strategies based on these analogies for contemporary sustainable architecture in coordination with nature and region were derived. In the other words, this research aims to propose a model for architecture which responds to a threefold problem: energy, environment, and health.

Abstract

The present study aims to assess the environmental risk of gas condensates transmission pipeline using Kent Muhlbauer method and fuzzy TOPSIS model (Case study: transmission pipeline within Naiband National Park and Hormod Protected Area) to identify the major environmental risks caused by the transmission pipeline passing through Hormod Protected Area and Naiband National Park. The Assaluyeh-Bandar Abbas 36-inch gas condensates pipeline, with a length of 385 km, is located between the latitudes of E 52° 38 ‘and E56° 20’ and longitudes of N 27° 28’ and N 27° 10’. The pipeline, after passing through the areas nearby the towns of Parsian, Ashknan, Bastak and Kahoorestan Village in addition to Hormod protected area and Naiband National Park, enters the site for the production of gasoline from the northern part of the Bandar Abbas gas condensate refinery. In order to assess the risk using the Kent Muhlbauer method, the scores of sub-indices of each class and the score of each class were determined, and the final scores of all risk indices and the leak impact factors index were obtained. Due to the heterogeneity of the rout, first, the area was divided into 13 parts according to the soil cover and population density. After performing the risk assessment using the above-mentioned method, the fuzzy TOPSIS model was used to analyze the data and the indices were ranked and their priorities were determined. According to the results of present study, the studied pipeline has three levels of risk including high risk (40% of the route), moderate risk (38% of the route) and low risk (22% of the route). The results of risk assessment indicates that the Naiband National Park is at high risk. Finally, some solutions were suggested to control and reduce the project risk.

Abstract

Soil liquefaction is among the secondary earthquake effects. This phenomenon, which was widely seen in Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh during the 1990 Manjil-Rudbar earthquake, led to considerable damage. The present study was conducted to assess the future re-liquefaction hazard and risk and prepare liquefaction hazard map of the study area. For this purpose, in addition to the available geotechnical data, 20 new boreholes were excavated and both in site and laboratory experiments were conducted on 100 soil samples. To prepare liquefaction risk zonation map, the structural condition and the value of 1,000 residential and commercial units, and lifelines were evaluated. Next, using the risk matrix model, the risk map of the Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh City was prepared. The results show that although liquefaction history of the area has reduced liquefaction risk in some parts of the city, the risk was increased in the central parts of the city due to the traditional texture of the city and dense buildings. Moreover, the presence of a hospital and governorate building in the central part of the city poses serious difficulties during transport of the injured and quake-stricken individuals and communication access lines of the northern Iranian provinces during the crisis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the effectiveness of various cognitive-behavioral therapies on reduction of ADHD syndrome. The research method was semi-experimental. The population of this study included all schoolchildren aged 7 to 12 years old who received diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and referred to psychiatric counseling clinics of Tehran city in November and December 2016. Out of this, 80 subjects were selected by cluster sampling method and available sampling. They were randomly assigned to three experimental and one control groups. The information was collected using Parental and Teacher’s ADHD Scale. To analyze the collected data, multivariate covariance test was used. The findings of this study showed that individual counseling has a significant effect on the reduction of ADHD syndrome in the parents scale and the teachers scale, and in all components of behavior in the class, participation and group collaboration, and attitude toward the power authorities, and reducing the syndrome of ADHD Also, the findings of this study showed that group counseling and parent education only affect the ADHD syndrome in the parent form and in the overall score of teacher form and also in the component of group collaboration and collaboration. Meanwhile, the findings of this study showed that there is no significant difference between the three methods of cognitive-behavioral therapy, namely, individual counseling, group counseling and parent education in reducing the syndrome of ADHD.

Abstract

In current research, we seek to investigate relationship between resistance training and reduce heart attack throughout cell adhesion molecules. The overall results of the study showed that aerobic, resistance exercise improves endothelial activity, and the incidence and gene expression reduce ICAM-1. Therefore, regular exercise an important part in the prevention of diseases such as atherosclerosis and inflammatory diseases such as cancer. It can be claimed that both groups of aerobic and resistance groups have essential role in preventing cardiovascular disease.

Rare Vascular Plant Species in the Lipetsk Region: Vital Status Assessment

Abstract

This article is devoted to the plant species (first category of rarity) growing in the Lipetsk region. Plants were registered by means of sample plots with the projective cover area indicated. This article presents 9 species of vascular plants and one fern. Based on the field research, we have assessed the vital status and magnitude of plant population within the specified region. We have shown the origin of previously unidentified limiting factors and their affect on the species. This article also reveals the reasons why the species status is unfavorable and provides a reintroduction efficiency assessment. We have also assessed the risks of other preservation measures. We have determined the most effective method for preserving and increasing the number of plant population for each species in a specified region.
