Determination of some virulence genes in helicobacter pylori isolated from dyspeptic patients by pcr in Kirkuk City, Iraq

Abstract

Helicobacter pylori Infections are associated with different gastric disorders. Also, the infection of H. pylori is related with some virulence factors genes that can be used in molecular diagnoses. One hundred patients biopsy of dyspepsia that advised by the physician to have clinical indications for an endoscopy in the gastrointestinal clinic of the hospitals. Only ten biopsies (10%) produce positive cultures for H. pylori. the majority positive cases (60%) were male and (40%) were female. the aged distribution for positive cases were mostly between 25-35 years old. Out of the 10 DNA extracts isolated from gastric biopsies, the prevalence of genes were 10 (100%), 7 (70%), 5 (50%) and 7 (70%) for a region of 16S rRNA gene, IceA1 gene, G1mM gene and IceA2 gene of H. pylori were amplified by PCR.
